Past the Time of Firelight
No boots the snow do tread
Yet carols echo in the night
From voices long since bled
The holly and the mistletoe
Had crowned the Holy Fools
Now dancing northern winds do blow
And the turning wheel does rule

They sift through ash for eyes of glass
Ancient shadows stain the walls
Blackened mossy hieroglyphs
